That's the real question! It's one or the other, period. If your boots are leaking, you have 2 options. You could spend hundreds on new boots or just get a pack of my BOOT DUCKS.
To solve the mystery, next time you go skiing, use a BOOT DUCK on one liner only. At the end of the day when you take your boots off, see if both feet are wet. If so, it's because your feet are sweating a lot.
If not, remove and check both of your liners. If the outer surface of the BOOT DUCK and the other liner is wet, then your boot shells are leaking. Then check the inside of your shells. If there is water inside, that confirms your shells are leaking. Either way, by using BOOT DUCKS your feet will stay nice and dry all day long. Mystery and problem solved!
We make BOOT DUCKS in 2 sizes. Medium fits shoe sizes up to Men's 8 1/2, and Large fits Men's shoe sizes from 9 up to 13.
Women's shoe sizes would be a bit bigger.
For sizes smaller than that, (children for example) you can use the Medium, fit so the toe is tight and just fold the excess over at the heel. Then use a piece of tape over the fold, works every time.
Especially for kids and rentals boots that may not be sealing so well. If the kids get wet cold feet, they'll be done for the day and so will you. Not what you had in mind for your valuable limited opportunities for skiing.
That depends on your boot shells. If your shells have sharp edges on the inside, that may cause a small puncture while inserting or removing the liners from the shell.
I recomend using a piece of electrical tape to cover any sharp edges you might find inside your shells. That will protect against punctures. You can check the BOOT DUCKS for punctures before re-use by filling them with air and closing the top opening and squeezing to check for air leaks. If you find a puncture, just use a piece of scotch tape to seal it.
Eventually you'll probably have to replace it with a new one. Not to worry though, there are 4 in every pack, so they should last a long time.
